The world premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney The Brothers Size will star Brian Tyree Henry, Gilbert Owuor and Elliot Villar. The production is described as "playing fast and loose with West African myths. . . [It] brings contemporary rhythms together with traditions of ceremonial presentation to tell the modern-day story of the Size brothers - Ogun, an auto mechanic, and Oshoosi, a recent parolee."

David Henry Hwang's world premiere of Yellow Face has also added Francis Jue, Lucas Caleb Rooney and Peter Scanavino to its cast. The work will also feature the previously announced Julienne Hanzelka Kim, Kathryn Layng, Hoon Lee and Tony Torn.

In Yellow Face, "David Henry Hwang puts himself center stage with alter-ego DHH, telling his side of the explosive controversy stirred up when he led the protest against the hiring of Jonathan Pryce in the original Broadway production of Miss Saigon. Truth and fiction are hard to separate as Hwang gives us a funny and moving backstage look at his search to confront the roles that race and ethnicity play in America," according to press notes.

Other productions set for the Public's upcoming season include The Wooster Group's production of Hamlet; the world premiere of Richard Nelson's Conversations in Tusculum, starring Brian Dennehy, David Strathairn and Maria Tucci; Caryl Churchill's Drunk Enough to Say I Love You; Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis with direction by Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman; and Sam Shepard's U.S. premiere of Kicking a Dead Horse, starring Stephen Rea.
