Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's mystical chess drama King Without A Castle will end April 23. King began performances March 10. Colombian-born director Michael John Garces directs.

Presented in both English (weekdays) and Spanish (weekends), Castle exposes the curse of fathers on their sons, as a world class chess player fights to keep his unborn child from succumbing to the spirit of his own dead father. Playwright Candido Tirado has collaborated with Garces on two other productions, Checking Out/Morir Sonando ( Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre ) and Hands of Stone (La MaMa).

Mexican actress-choreographer Anilu Pardo (The Passion of Frida Kahlo) plays the chess player's mother. Francisco Lorite (Bomber Jackets) plays the chess master. Also in the cast are Selenis Leyva and the playwright, Tirado.
