Donald Margulies, a Pultizer Prize winner for Dinner With Friends, pokes fun at the art community in Sight Unseen, playing Sept. 6-Oct. 14 at Los Angeles' McCadden Place Theatre.

In Sight Unseen, successful New York painter Jonathan Waxman searches for the passion for art he once had when he visits his old college lover Patricia and her husband Nick during the first major restrospective of his work in England. Issues of self-worth, stardom, jealousy and lost love crop up, as the comedy asks, "If I don't get art, is it my fault or yours?"

Craig Carlisle directs. Previous credits include New York's Joe Fearless, Spring Awakening and the L.A. Ovation Award-winning play Bob Funk, which he wrote.

Sight Unseen stars Bill Block, L.A. Weekly Award winner Bjorn Johnson, Cheryl Dolley and Elizabeth Rossa.

In keep with the theme of the play, artist Jeff Robinson will design the set with lighting by Jerry Browning. Tickets are $15. The McCadden Place Theatre is located at 1157 McCadden Place in West Hollywood. For reservations, call (310) 358-2969.
