News Quenqua to Handle Disney Theatrical’s International Publicity Joe Quenqua, vice president of east coast publicity for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, has been appointed vice president of worldwide publicity for Disney Theatrical Group.

In a statement Disney Theatrical president/producer Thomas Schumacher said, "We are fortunate to have Joe join our team. From its Broadway base, our business has steadily grown internationally as well as into different forms of live performance, creating the need for this new position. Joe's experience and passion for entertainment make him a perfect fit.

"In addition to integrating us more closely with other Disney business units, Joe will coordinate the efforts of our domestic and international press resources including our long-time Broadway publicist Chris Boneau and his team at Boneau/Bryan-Brown."

Boneau and company will continue to handle the public relations for all of Disney's Broadway efforts.

Disney Theatrical Group produces and licenses musicals around the world, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aida, Tarzan and Mary Poppins, the latter a co-production with Cameron Mackintosh. Disney also recently launched the professional touring version of High School Musical, and the Broadway-bound The Little Mermaid is now in previews in Denver.

Through its license to Feld Entertainment, DTG also delivers live entertainment around the world. DTG also licenses musicals for school and community theatres through Music Theatre International.
