The Livent musical Ragtime will make its Connecticut bow at The Bushnell in Hartford in January 2000. The production will be part of the performing arts center's 1999-2000 season. Ragtime is currently playing on Broadway at Livent's Ford Center for the Performing Arts. On June 7, it won Tony Awards for best score (Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty), best book (Terrence McNally), best featured actress in a musical (Audra McDonald), and best orchestrations (William David Brohn). The show is directed by Frank Galati. Graciela Daniele is the choreographer. The design team includes Eugene Lee (sets), Santo Loquasto (costumes), and Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer (lighting). Two touring productions of Ragtime are currently playing in Vancouver and Washington, D.C.
