News Ralph Fiennes, Simon Russell Beale May Star in Next James Bond Film; Sam Mendes Directs Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes is in talks to star in the next James Bond film, according to the Daily Mail, which also reports that Olivier Award winner Simon Russell Beale may be a part of the film's cast.

Although details of the actors' roles were not revealed, Fiennes' character was described as a complex character with a dark side. The Bond film, currently known as James Bond 23, will be directed by Tony and Academy Award winner Sam Mendes. Daniel Craig and Tony and Academy Award winner Judi Dench will reprise their roles as Bond and M, respectively.

Fiennes (Hamlet, "The Constant Gardener," "The English Patient," "Schindler's List") is also currently in negotiations with the Weinstein Company for a distribution deal for "Coriolanus," a contemporary adaptation of the William Shakespeare tragedy which he headlines and directs.

Beale (Spamalot, Jumpers, Uncle Vanya, Twelfth Night) recently completed a run in London's West End in Deathtrap.
