News Randy Redd-Dan Mills Musical Fiction in Photographs Will Get NYC Developmental Lab Lauren Pritchard, Adam Halpin and Cole Burden have been cast in a developmental lab of the new Randy Redd-Dan Mills musical Fiction in Photographs at New World Stages in October.

Million Dollar Quartet cast members Redd and Mills co-authored the musical that received an industry presentation last August. Redd will direct the developmental lab, which will have musical staging by Emily Maltby and musical direction by Adam Podd.

Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Halpin (Dogfight) and Burden (Les Miserables) will be joined by Sosie Bacon and David Mizzoni.

The creative team is hopeful for a 2013 Off-Broadway run. Funding is currently being raised via a Kickstarter campaign. Contributors have the chance to receive a ticket to a preview performance of the musical, as well as invitations to special first-look events with the cast and creative team. The musical is described as a "delicate balance of wisdom and sentiment...[that] reveals the vivid contrasts between life as it is remembered and life as it happens. Fiction in Photographs, a multimedia theatrical event, is a fresh, sincere and ultimately heartbreaking new musical."

Redd played Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet Off-Broadway, while Mills was seen as Carl Perkins on Broadway and Off. Redd is also the co-author of What's That Smell: The Music Of Jacob Sterling. Visit fictioninphotographsmusical.com.
