News Rapp to Discuss New "Endless Sorrows" Novel Jan. 22 Obie Award-winning playwright Adam Rapp will discuss his new novel, "The Year of Endless Sorrows," Jan. 22, 2007, at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle.

The discussion and signing of Rapp's new tome is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. Rapp is also the author of "Under the Wolf, Under the Dog" and the plays Red Light Winter, Essential Self-Defense, Stone Cold Dead Serious, Nocturne and Blackbird. Farrar, Straus and Giroux will release "The Year of Endless Sorrows" in paperback Dec. 26.

Publishers Weekly describes Rapp's work thusly: "It's the early '90s, and an unnamed Midwestern aspiring writer, recently graduated, moves into an East Village apartment with three roommates: his actor younger brother, Feick (promptly swept out of his life by artistic success); his best friend, Glenwood (a skinny, self-loathing Columbia Business School student); and Burton Loach, a vagrant type just as happy to watch the fan blades as TV. The narrator's superiors at Van Von Donnell Publishing (where he has a pittance-paying, bottom-rung job) are waspy, shallow, depraved, and smugly articulate."

Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle is located in Manhattan at 1972 Broadway at 66th Street. The event is free and open to the public. For more information call (212) 595-6859.
