News Rare Songs by Avenue Q's Lopez and Marx Part of Aug. 1 Concert Songs You Love & Songs You Don't Know From Composers You Love is the lengthy title of an August 1 concert at the Ars Nova Theater.

The 7 PM performance will feature the works of Avenue Q Tony winning composers Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx as well as the songs of Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler, Amanda Green and Tom Kitt, Andrew Lippa, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Their works will be interpreted by Harris Doran, Gwen Hollander, Aymee Garcia and Jordan Gelber. Gordon Greenberg directs with musical direction by Ben Cohn.

Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from The Wild Party, Avenue Q, Hairspray and Bat Boy as well as from the lesser-known The Addams Family; Kermit, Prince of Denmark; High Fidelity; and Sarah Plain & Tall.
