Dedicated to the development of playwrights, a Rattlestick release states, "We've found that the best way to nurture new writers is to produce their work." Since its season only allows for three or four productions, Rattlestick's Exposure Festival gives the company a chance to present more works from emerging scribes.
Among the new works being presented as readings are the latest from Lucy Thurber, Sean Cunningham and the late Rattlestick co-founder Gary Bonasorte. The Bonasorte reading — of the play he was working on at the time of his death — will be followed by a seat-naming dedication in his honor.
The three-week event is free, with a suggested donation of $5 per reading and $10 per workshop.
