News Ray of Hope Fundraiser to Feature Ray Romano and Broadway's Orfeh and Craig Schulman A Ray of Hope, an event to benefit the early detection, treatment and cure of ovarian cancer, will be presented May 14 at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan.

Comic-actor Ray Romano, who will be introduced by Jon Manfrellotti, will be the evening's headliner. Valerie Smaldone, also co-producer of the event, will emcee the fundraiser, which will also boast the talents of Tony nominee Orfeh and singer-actor Craig Schulman.

Poceeds will go through the Sass Foundation for Medical Research with monies funneled to Mt. Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center, to help fund research projects for ovarian cancer.

Doors open at 8 PM; performance begins at 9 PM. There will also be a VIP after-party, where ticket holders will be treated to craft beers, wine and cheeses as well as Italian pastries.

SVA Theatre is located at 333 West 23rd Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. Tickets, priced $150-$275, can be purchased at Theatermania.com.
