Tony nominee Carmen Cusack takes center stage in the Encores! presentation of Call Me Madam, which continues through February 10 at New York City Center as part of the midtown venue’s 75th anniversary season. Performances began February 6.

Cusack (Bright Star, Lempicka) takes on the role of Ambassador Sally Adams—the role originated on Broadway in the Irving Berlin musical by Ethel Merman.

Among those joining her in the Casey Hushion-helmed presentation are Ben Davis as Cosmo Constantine, Jason Gotay as Kenneth Gibson, Darrell Hammond as Grand Duke Otto, Adam Heller as Congressman Wilkins, Carol Kane as Grand Dutchess Sophie, Stanley Wayne Mathis as Senator Borckbank, Brad Oscar as Senator Gallagher, Randy Rainbow as Sebastian Sebastian, Michael Benjamin Washington as Pemberton Maxwel, and Lauren Worsham as Princess Maria.

The show, featuring a score by Berlin and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, sends up political discourse as a socialite is named U.S. ambassador to the (fictional) country of Lichtenburg. Encores! first put on the show in its second season in 1995.

The new Encores! presentation features choreography by Denis Jones; Music Director Rob Berman conducts.
