Following an acclaimed world premiere at London's Young Vic, The Inheritance officially opened in the West End October 13. Matthew Lopez's two-part play is scheduled to run through January 19, 2019, at the Noël Coward Theatre.
The play, directed by Stephen Daldry, is set in New York City a generation after the HIV/AIDS crisis of the '80s and '90s, as a group of gay men struggle to connect to the past and maintain a sense of history.
Several members of the original cast—including Vanessa Redgrave, John Benjamin Hickey, Andrew Burnap, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Hubert Burton, Syrus Lowe, Michael Marcus, Kyle Soller, and Michael Walters—reprise their performances.
