In The Green, starring and written by Grace McClean, opened June 27 at Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3 stage.

The musical offers an origin story from Europe’s Medieval era. Following Hildegard von Bingen on her path to sainthood from childhood, In the Green marks the Great Comet alum’s professional writing debut.

The Lee Sunday Evans-helmed production stars Rachael Duddy, Ashley Pérez Flanagan, and Hannah Whitney, who all play Hildegard, as well as Mia Pak. McLean plays Juletta, von Bingen’s childhood mentor.
