Regional News Redhouse Arts Center to Present Rent, Fences, Fun Home, and More The theatre unveils its inaugural season under the leadership of new Artistic Director Hunter Foster.

Syracuse's Redhouse Arts Center has unveiled its 2019–2020 season programming, the first under the leadership of new Artistic Director Hunter Foster. Season highlights include Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent, August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play Fences, and the Syracuse premiere of the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Fun Home.

Redhouse will kick off the new season with Rent, running September 19–29, followed by Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play God of Carnage (seen on Broadway in 2009). Rounding out 2019, and in celebration of the holiday season, the theatre will present A Syracuse Christmas Carol, featuring a book by LJ Fecho and music and lyrics by Michael O'Flaherty (December 12–22).

Redhouse will launch the new year with William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet (February 13–23, 2020), followed by Fences (March 26–April 5).

Closing out the season will be Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori's acclaimed musical Fun Home, which will run May 28–June 7.

Casting and creative teams will be announced at a later date.
