News "Reefer Madness" Screening to Benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS The Showtime cable network will join forces with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS April 10 to present a screening of the upcoming Showtime film "Reefer Madness," which is based on Dan Studney and Kevin Murphy's Off-Broadway musical of the same name.

The 7 PM screening will be held at the Directors Guild of America, 110 West 57th Street (between Sixth and Seventh Avenues). A reception will follow the screening at TAO, 42 East 58th Street (between Madison and Park Avenues).

"Reefer Madness," according to production notes, "is the musical adapted from the legendary 1938 anti-marijuana propaganda film of the same name — except now it's a boisterously funny musical lampoon of society's changing mores that boasts an all-star cast." The Showtime company features Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Neve Campbell, Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer and Steven Weber.

Seats, priced at $100, are available by calling (212) 840-0770, ext. 226. For more information visit www.bcefa.org.
