News Rehearsals of New Richard Foreman Piece Broadcast Live Oct. 19 Any theatre afficianado curious about the rehearsal process of famed avant garde director Richard Foreman should tune in to 103.9 live internet radio from 10 AM to 4 PM Oct. 19.

Last January, coinciding with his play The Gods Are Pounding My Head (Lumberjack Messiahs), Foreman press materials announced: "Celebrating 37 years of mind-bending artistry, 67-year-old Foreman creates what he describes as the culmination of his many baroque and wildly theatrical pieces; after this year's climactic extravaganza, he plans a move into a more meditative mixed media mode." The radio broadcast will offer a peak into Foreman's new hybrid theatre/film piece, Zomboid. According to press materials, Foreman "uses continual video projection to ground the live performance in hallucinatory imagery that enfolds the live action in bizarre, tableau-like backgrounds in which blindfolded characters, acquiring symbolic resonance, focus the onstage action to suggest a much deeper world behind the normal, tense, everyday psychological life."

Rehearsals will be broadcast indefinitely every Wednesday.
