The evening, which was also created by Jay and Lake, will begin at 8 PM. "The basic idea of the show," Jay told Playbill.com, "is to bring a bit of a new light to not only Broadway musicals from our point of view but also to introduce old and new audiences to a different type of show. To some it could be called a cabaret, to some it could be called a musical revue, but what it is to us is a chance to introduce people to what Broadway and musical theatre is looking like these days. The days of 2010.

"We've thrown some original works in there, too," Jay continues. "We're excited to get it out there, we're excited to take on this journey, we're excited to put our necks on the line for something we have such a huge passion for, something that can and has changed the world — music — and we're especially excited to share it with everyone."

Lake has also been seen Off-Broadway in Hillary Agonistes, and she created the role of Candy in the world premiere musical, YEEHAD!, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Additional theatre credits include Footloose; Songs for a New World; tick, tick...BOOM!; and Defying Gravity.

Jay's debut solo album of original material is titled "Without Wax." He has opened for such artists as Laurence Juber (former lead guitar player for Paul McCartney and Wings), The Lovell Sisters and Grammy winner James Otto. Jay has also released a CD of Broadway tunes, "Between 41st and 53rd."

Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's is located at 4349 Tujunga Avenue. For reservations call (818) 754-8700. Doors will open at 6:30 PM.
