News RFK is Focus of Solo Show The Awful Grace of God in Los Angeles, July 21 Senator Robert F. Kennedy is the focus of the Los Angeles premiere of the solo show The Awful Grace of God: A Portrait of Robert F. Kennedy, written and performed by Jack Holmes, July 21.

Jenny Sullivan directs the Shadwell Productions presentation at the Court Theatre produced by Winship Cook. The run is slated through Aug. 4.

The Awful Grace of God follows RFK from the soul-searching days following the assassination of his brother President John F. Kennedy to his term as New York senator to presidential candidate to the day of his own at the Ambassador Hotel after winning the California primary.

Playwright-performer Holmes has appeared in Los Angeles productions of In the Boom Boom Room and on screen in the independent film, "Broken Rose." He also composed and performed the original music for this production.

Director Sullivan has recently staged Immaculate Misconception and Love Letters (L.A. TheaterWorks with) as well asArt, Dancing at Lughnasa, Old Wicked Songs, Ancestral Voices, AdWars, The Cat’s Meow and the world premiere of The Baby Dance (Pasadena Playhouse).
