SAG's heavy hitters returned to the strike line today in front of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Broadway at W. 48 St. Actors Susan Sarandon, Rob Morrow, Skid Suddeth, Miguel Ferrer and Richard Dreyfuss made various appearances with the union rank and file as negotiating teams from the unions and the producers held talks that started at about 1:30 PM.

An Academy Award-winning Best Actor, Dreyfuss took part in the talks today. Sources told Playbill On-Line that discussions between the two sides were at a particularly critical juncture (see separate story Sept. 22).

Dreyfuss has distinguished himself during the strike for his trenchant commentary, often pushing the need for unity among actors and the necessity of "staying the course."
