A patriotic concert by Tony Orlando is included in the eclectic season in the La Mirada, CA, venue where McCoy Rigby Entertainment is the resident producer. The season opens in October with Steel Magnolias directed by Brian Kite.
The La Mirada slate will also feature Ron Hutchinson's Moonlight and Magnolias (directed by Andy Barnicle), about Hollywood writers pasting together a script for "Gone With the Wind," Nov. 6-22; the Tony Award-winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by William Finn and Tony winner Rachel Sheinkin, directed by Jeff Maynard, Feb. 5–21, 2010; the rock musical Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story by Alan James and Rob Bettinson, directed by Glenn Casale, April 16–May 2, 2010; and Donald Margulies' Pulitzer Prize-winning dissection of modern marriages, Dinner With Friends, directed by Brian Kite, June 4-20, 2010.
