News Rita Moreno Appears on Radio Show "Downstage Center" Rita Moreno — the stage and screen legend who currently performs at the Café Carlyle — will appear on upcoming broadcasts of XM Radio's "Downstage Center."

The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio will present the interviews with the actresses on the weekly theatrical interview show on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28). The show plays Jan. 26 at 6 PM and repeat broadcasts Saturday at noon, Sunday at 7 PM and Wednesday at 12 AM (ET). The acclaimed Tony, Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award winner will speak to her career including her Broadway debut in Skydrift at age 13, her audition for West Side Story, her London appearances in She Loves Me and Sunset Boulevard and more.

Moreno won a Tony Award for The Ritz, an Academy Award for "West Side Story," Emmy Awards for "The Muppet Show" and "The Rockford Files" and a Grammy for "The Electric Company" album. Among her numerous credits are the film "Casa de los Babys," the HBO series "Oz and stage turns in The Last of the Red Hot Lovers and The Odd Couple. She recently starred at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Master Class and The Glass Menagerie.

"Downstage Center" programs run on XM and are then made available for free as streaming audio and in podcast form on ATW's website at americantheatrewing.org.
