Rivers, who promises to offer "outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, and award show fashions," will play Wednesday evenings at 8 PM through Dec. 16.
Joan Rivers earned a Best Actress Tony nomination for her 1994 play Sally Marr...and Her Escorts, which she co-wrote with Erin Sanders and director Lonny Price. She made her Broadway debut in Fun City and later joined the cast of Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. She was a regular guest-host for Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show" and also hosted "The Joan Rivers Show."
A portion of the $30 cover will benefit God's Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind. There is a $15 food and drink minimum at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
There will be no performances Oct. 14, Nov. 4 or Nov. 11; however, added shows will take place Sept. 22, Oct. 8 and Oct. 27 at 8 PM.
