The New York Post reports that the production, which stars Jude Law and features direction by Rob Ashford, will arrive on Broadway next year. Producer Ariel Tepper Madover, according to the New York daily, has a deal with the London theatre company and is currently raising funds to transfer the critically acclaimed production.

No official announcement about a Broadway run has been made.

Law previously played the title role of Hamlet under the Donmar's auspices in its West End season at Wyndham's Theatre in 2009 and subsequently on Broadway. Ashford, who is an associate director of the Covent Garden theatre, previously directed the London premiere of Jason Robert Brown’s Parade there, and A Streetcar Named Desire starring Rachel Weisz. Ruth Wilson, who played Stella in the latter, co-stars in the title role of Anna Christie.

The cast also features Paul Brightwell, Jenny Galloway, David Hayman, Robert Lonsdale, Henry Pettigrew, Michael Walters and Matt Wilman.

Ashford is currently represented on Broadway by his direction and choreography of How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, and in the West End by co-directing Shrek. According to press materials, O'Neill's Pulitzer  Prize-winning play about love and forgiveness charts one woman's longing to forget the dark secrets of her past and hope for salvation.
