Jodie Markel and Rob Morrow will star in the premiere of the radio play, "Katie and Frank," Nov. 11
"Katie and Frank" is a play about the importance of listening in maintaining a healthy marriage - especially if your partner is carrying a gun. It was written by Theresa Rebeck (The Butterfly Collection) and it includes original music by Ohad Talmor and is produced and directed by Brian Smith.
The two-character show is the latest in an ongoing series of radio collaborations featuring members of Tribeca's Naked Angels Theater Company.
Now in its 17th season, Naked Angels Theater Company is a respected downtown theatre company that is well known for its developmental programs, which already include the cold-reading series "Tuesdays@9" and the "Angels In Progress" workshops.
Naked Angels is a collaboration of theater artists united by a desire to strengthen their artistic life through the creation of projects of their own design. With a voice that responds to modern times and experiences, Naked Angels expresses its own particular view of the world through its artistry. "Katie and Frank" will air on WNYC's The Next Big Thing with Dean Olsher on Sunday, November 11, 2002, 11 AM-12 PM on WNYC 93.9 FM and 1-2 PM on WNYC AM 820.
