Robert Anderson's Silent Night, Lonely Night, a little known and rarely seen 1959 work by the author of Tea and Sympathy, will get a reading at St. Clement's Church (423 W. 46th St. between 9th and 10th avenues) on Feb. 4 at 8 PM. The reading will be part of the "First Mondays" series. The cast features James R. Ashcraft, Michele LaRue, Christine Fall, Pamela Nelson, Robert Christopher Sheridan. Kathleen Bishop directs.
The original Broadway production of Silent Night, staged at the now vanished Morosco, ran for only 124 performances. Henry Fonda and Barbara Bel Geddes starred.
A $10 donation is suggested.
