Robert Cuccioli and Samantha Hill Will Star in Drury Lane Theatre’s South Pacific

Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde) and Samantha Hill (Les Miserables) will lead the cast of the Drury Lane Theatre production of South Pacific as Emile de Becque and Ensign Nellie Forbush, respectively.

Directed by Victor Malana Maog with choreography by Otis Sallid and musical direction by Roberta Duchak, the Tony-winning musical will be presented April 5–June 17 at Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

The cast will also feature Austin Colby as Lt. Joseph Cable, Yvonne Strumecki as Bloody Mary, Matt Crowle as Luther Billis, Elic Bramlett as Capt. George Brackett, Harter Clingman as Stewpot, Matthew Keffer as Cmdr. William Harbison, Sarah Lo as Liat, Sam Shankman as Professor, Hunter DiMailig as Jerome, Rika Nishikawa as Ngana, Miles S. Chong as Jerome alternate, and Rachel Cornille as the Ngana alternate.

The ensemble includes Blair Beasley, Kayla Boye, Nathaniel Braga, Joe Capstick, Matt Casey, Erica Evans, John Gurdian, Ashley Lanyon, Rachel Osting, Brandon Pisano, Allie Pizzo, Peter Sipla, Erica Stephan, Patrick Michael Tierney, and Denzel Tsopnang.

South Pacific features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Hammerstein II and Josh Logan, adapted from Tales of the South Pacific by James Michener.

The upcoming production will also have scenic design by Scott Davis, costume design by Olivera Gajic, lighting design by Yael Lubetzky, assistant lighting design by Brian Elston, sound design by Ray Nardelli, properties design by Cassy Schillo, wig design by Claire Moores, dialect coaching by Sammi Grant, and assistant dialect coaching by Colin Funk. The production stage manager is Larry Baker.
