News Roger Rees Joins Songs of Ahrens and Flaherty Benefit Tony Award winner Roger Rees, who can currently be seen on ABC's hit drama "Grey's Anatomy," has joined the cast of the upcoming benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

As previously announced, the April 30 event — titled We Tell the Story: The Songs of Ahrens and Flaherty — will be held at the Lucille Lortel Theatre and will also feature the talents of The Color Purple's Kenita R. Miller, Les Misérables' Q. Smith and Curtains' Joe Aaron Reid as well as Kara Boyer, Kimberly Burns, Peter Carrier, Creighton Fraker, Katie Kozlowski, Jamal McDonald, Lucy Sorensen and Bruce Warren. Show time is 8 PM. Phil Accorso will direct and Amanda Spriggs will choreograph the benefit, which will feature songs by the composers of Once On This Island, Ragtime, Seussical and Dessa Rose. Amanda Morton will be the musical director; Larry Lees has penned new orchestrations and will conduct the musicians.

Roger Rees received a Tony Award for his work in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby; he was also nominated for his performance in Indiscretions. He was recently on the New York stage in A Man of No Importance, and his other theatre credits include Uncle Vanya, The Rehearsal, The End of the Day, The Uneasy Chair and The Misanthrope. An associate artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company, his work there includes Hamlet, Love's Labours Lost, Cymbeline, Much Ado About Nothing, The Suicide and Nicholas Nickleby. His film and television appearances are numerous.
