Classic Arts News Rolando Villaz‹n to Speak at Lincoln Center February 14 Tenor Rolando Villaz‹n will appear at a lecture hosted by the Metropolitan Opera Guild on February 14.
Sarah Billinghurst, the assistant general manger of the Met for artistic administration, will talk with the star singer. The event takes place at the Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center at 6:15 p.m.

Ticket are $18 and are available at www.metguild.org.

Villaz‹n is currently appearing at the Met opposite soprano Anna Netrebko as the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's Rigoletto. His 2005-06 season also includes appearances at the Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera, and Covent Garden.

A native of Mexico, Villaz‹n has rapidly risen to prominence since marking his European debut in 1999. He first appeared at the Met in 2003, and is reportedly scheduled to return in each of the next two seasons.
