This follows the current season of eight productions that it is staging there that began Nov. 30 and will continue through Feb. 5, 2012, with a repertoire that comprises productions of Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra, The Winter's Tale, Julius Caesar, As You Like It and King Lear, directed by Rupert Goold, Michael Boyd, David Farr, Lucy Bailey, Boyd and David Farr, respectively, as well as young people's productions of Hamlet and The Comedy of Errors, directed by Tarell Alvin McCraney and Paul Hunter, respectively.

The RSC has also previously presented its complete cycle of History plays at the venue in 2008, which proved to be one of the company's most successful in London with 99 percent attendance across the run. The current RSC season has the highest  box-office advance ever taken at the Roundhouse.

In a press statement, the RSC's artistic director Michael Boyd commented, "We have loved being at the Roundhouse. It is an extraordinary space, with an aesthetic and ethos that matches our own. We are especially pleased that this new partnership means we can continue to offer London audiences an opportunity to experience our work as it's seen in our Stratford home: on a thrust stage, bringing them so much closer to the action, and in a building which echoes our desire to bring together the intimate and epic."

The RSC will also continue its successful relationship with Delfont Mackintosh Theatres (which began in 2005 with seasons of work at the Novello Theatre) and is in discussions about presenting RSC productions in London in 2011 and onwards.
