The Tony-nominated actress-singer joined the so-called "Angel" touring company, which is not the same cast (the "Benny" company) that played L.A. previously. Rubin-Vega and the "Angels" will also play San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre beginning March 3, for a limited time, according to national tour press rep Laura Matalon.

Rubin-Vega left the Broadway cast to pursue other work and to shoot the movie thriller "Wild Things." She co-wrote 10 of 13 songs for a Mercury Records album, set for release in spring 1999.

The rest of the cast features Dean Balkwill (Roger), Trey Ellett (Mark), Erin Keaney (Maureen), Kamilah Martin (Joanne), Shaun Earl (Angel), Mark Jackson (Collins) and Brian M. Love (Benny). The ensemble includes Christian Anderson, Marcus Chaney, Courtney Corey, Kristoffer Cusick, Evan D'Angeles, Danielle Lee Greaves, Jenny Maxwell, Alan Mingo, Lambert Moss, Matthew Murphy, Karen Olivo, Cheri Smith and Alicia Westelman.
