Writer/comedian/Broadway fanatic Seth Rudetsky's new one-man show at the Ars Nova Theater has been extended through the month of July.

Entitled Rhapsody in Seth, Rudetsky's self-penned comedy chronicles his journey from a young musical theatre lover in Long Island to his varied career as a writer for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," a stand-up comic and a pianist for 15 Broadway musicals. Rudetsky also shares his thoughts on his favorite divas — Betty Buckley, Patti LuPone, Lillias White, et al. — as well as his run-ins with the school bully and a barely averted lawsuit with his former high school.

A self-professed "Broadway guru," Rudetsky has served as a pit pianist and/or conductor for such Broadway shows as 42nd Street, The Full Monty, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and The Producers. He also conceived the idea for the recent all-star Dreamgirls concert to benefit the Actors Fund of America and is currently working on a one-night-only staging of Funny Girl. Rudetsky was a member of the comedy writing team for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" for two years, and he continues to host his own talk show to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, "Seth's Broadway Chatterbox," which showcases some of New York's most acclaimed theatrical talent. His awards include the Duplex's Stars of Tomorrow, the Backstage Bistro and the Funniest Gay Male in New York.

Rudetsky will perform Sundays, June 23 and 30, and Thursdays, July 11, 18 and 25 at 8 PM at the Ars Nova Theater (511 W. 54th Street). Tickets are priced at $12 (cash only at door); for reservations, call (212) 977-1700.
