The Los Angeles Theatre Works production reunites the original Off-Broadway cast with director Mark Brokaw, who staged the premiere of the work at Second Stage Theatre. This Is Our Youth will run through March 22 at the Skirball Cultural Center. "In 1982," This Is Our Youth press notes state, "on Manhattan's Upper West Side, three pot-smoking teenagers caught up in the excesses of the 'Me Generation' nevertheless resoundingly reject the 1960s ideals of their affluent parents. In hilarious and bittersweet detail, This is Our Youth follows 48 turbulent hours in the lives of three very lost souls at the dawn of the Reagan Era, presenting an acerbic look at that generation in its ironic struggle both to resist and to attain adulthood."
This Is Our Youth will be recorded and subsequently broadcast on L.A.T.W.'s nationally syndicated radio theatre series "The Play's the Thing."
