Presented by Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre, the production will play a limited engagement through Nov. 11. Scott Wise directs.

Streets of America, based on an original concept by Riopelle, features music by Rupert and lyrics and book by both writers. The musical, according to press notes, tells the story of "three radically opposed brothers, each struggling to come to terms with their own definition of patriotism amidst the most turbulent decade in our nation’s history – the 1960s. Set against a three-day rock concert, this new musical explores the cost of war, the explosion of the media and the consequences of betrayal."

Michael Rupert, back on Broadway in Legally Blonde, won a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for his work in the revival of Sweet Charity. He also received a Tony nomination for his performance in William Finn's Falsettos, and his other Broadway credits include Ragtime, The Happy Time, City of Angels, Mail, Shakespeare's Cabaret and Pippin.

Show times are Thursday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.

Tickets, priced $18-$20, are available by calling (412) 621-4445 or by visiting www.pittsburghplayhouse.com.
