SAN DIEGO -- Old Globe marketing director Ken Novice has announced new discounted seating for Festival '98 and beyond.

"In order to make productions more accessible to theatre audiences, we are offering a discounted seating program for performances in both the Old Globe Theatre and the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre," said Novice.

A limited number of seats have been discounted to $12.50 and are available as soon as tickets go on sale for each performance. The $12.50 seats, which are based on availability, are located on the far left and right hand sides of the houses. Novice said, "We are pleased to offer patrons the opportunity to come and experience the excitement of live theatre for a few dollars more than a movie ticket."

This summer, discounted tickets are available for performances of As You Like It and Romeo and Juliet in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre, and for the world-premiere comedy Getting and Spending, as well as the musical Paramour in the Old Globe Theatre.
