News Sarah Ruhl's eurydice Will Arrive Off-Broadway with Yale Rep Cast The entire cast of the recent Yale Repertory Theatre production of Sarah Ruhl's re-imagining of the classic myth eurydice will star in the show's upcoming Off-Broadway debut at Second Stage.

Les Waters — who staged the Ruhl work at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2004, then at Yale Rep — returns for the New York staging at the midtown Manhattan stage. The show now begins previews May 30 and opens June 18 to end the company's season July 21. (The title now bears a lower-case "e" as opposed to previous runs.)

From the pen of Pulitzer Prize finalist Ruhl (The Clean House) comes a new take on "the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through the eyes of its heroine as she journeys to the underworld and struggles to retain her memories of her lost love." The work premiered at Madison Repertory Theatre in 2003 and has also been seen at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

The cast of eurydice includes Maria Dizzia (The Wooden Breeks) as Eurydice, Gian-Murray Gianino (Psyche) as Loud Stone, Carla Harting (Orson's Shadow) as Little Stone, Ramiz Monsef (All That I Will Ever Be) as Big Stone, Joseph Parks (The Sweetest Swing in Baseball at Magic Theatre) as Orpheus, Charles Shaw Robinson (The Cradle Will Rock) as Eurydice's Father and Mark Zeisler (Brooklyn Boy) as Nasty Interesting Man/Lord of the Underworld.

Waters will reteam with his designers Scott Bradley (scenic), Meg Neville (costume), Russell H. Champa (lighting) and Bray Poor (sound).

Tickets to eurydice at Second Stage, 307 West 43rd Street (just off Eighth Ave.), are available by calling (212) 246-4422. For more information, visit
