The production, starring Joel Rooks as the late George Burns, will launch a national tour this winter in Florida starting Jan. 11 at Orlando's Abbey Theatre. Gracie will also play Jacksonville's Wilson Center for the Arts starting Feb. 29 and The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center beginning March 14. Produced by Jenkay LLC (William I. Franzblau & Jay H. Harris), the play, according to production notes, takes audiences on "a guided tour through an American century told through the eyes of George Burns who savored each day from his impoverished youth on the lower East side, to his career in Vaudeville, his marriage to Gracie Allen, their rise to success on stage, screen, radio and TV, and finally George’s 'second time around.'"
St. Luke’s Theatre is located at 308 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. For tickets visit Telecharge.com or saygoodnightgracie.net.
