The national touring cast of The Scarlet Pimpernel will headline a cabaret to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS 9 PM Aug. 21 at Gentry of Chicago. Performances, mingling and an auction of Broadway theatre memorabilia will last to 1 AM. All proceeds go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Gentry of Chicago, 440 N. State Street, has hosted a number of BC/EFA benefits in the past.

The current national tour of the swashbuckling romantic musical features Robert Patteri as Percy/Pimpernel, Amy Bodnar as Marguerite and William Paul Michals as Chauvelin. Performances of the tuner by lyricist-librettist Nan Knighton and composer Frank Wildhorn continue to Aug. 27 at the Shubert Theatre in Chicago.

Cities on the tour through November include Charlotte, NC, Memphis, Kalamazoo, MI, St. Louis, Hartford, CT, Pittsburgh, Hershey, PA, and Philadelphia.
