Schonfeld, who attended Boston's Berklee College of Music, is known for his soulful rock scores. Joining Schonfeld for the 8 PM concert will be Broadway singer-actress Amy Spanger. Students from "BU On Broadway" will also be part of the end-of-the-semester concert that will take place in the GSU Conference Auditorium.
A star-studded concert version of Schonfeld's Drift was recently presented in New York City under the direction of Lauren Kennedy. His album "37 Notebooks," also featuring a roster of Broadway veterans, was released last spring.
Spanger's Broadway credits include The Wedding Singer; Kiss Me, Kate; Urinetown; Chicago; and Sunset Boulevard as well as Off-Broadway's tick, tick...BOOM!. On screen she has appeared in "Reefer Madness" and "Six Feet Under."
Tickets, priced $10, are available by visiting BU.edu.
