News School and Amateur Licensing Rights for Mary Poppins Now Available School and amateur licensing rights for Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's international hit musical Mary Poppins, which was seen on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre, are now available exclusively through Music Theatre International (MTI).

The stage production is based on P.L. Travers' stories and the 1964 Walt Disney film and includes the film’s Academy Award-winning music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.

The musical opened in London in 2004; 14 productions on three continents were eventually launched. The Tony Award-winning Broadway production, which ran for more than six years at The New Amsterdam, was the longest-running show of the 2006-07 season and the 21st longest-running show in Broadway history.

Resources available for licensees include recorded orchestra tracks, a choreography manual and DVD with instructions on how to re-create original Broadway dances by Matthew Bourne and Stephen Mear, a production handbook and two orchestration options.
