News Scott Wolf Stars in LaBute's Fat Pig at Geffen Playhouse Scott Wolf, Kirsten Vangsness, Andrea Anders and Chris Pine will star in the West Coast premiere of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig at the Geffen Playhouse May 5-June 10, with an opening on May 11.

Jo Bonney, who directed the play Off-Broadway for MCC in 2004, reprises her duties at the Geffen.

The play is about Tom (Wolf), who falls in love with Helen (Vangsness), who happens to be overweight. Tom has to overcome his own bias and the reaction of his friends Carter (Pine) and Jeannie (Anders).

The creative team includes Louisa Thompson (sets), Tina Haatainen Jones (costumes), Lap-Chi Chu (lighting) and Colbert Davis IV (sound).

Wolf, best known for television roles on "Party of Five" and "Everwood," has appeared onstage in Side Man, Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme and Dead End. Anders, who stars as Nicole in the CBS sitcom "The Class" and also starred in "Joey," has been seen on Broadway in The Graduate and Proof.

Pine recently starred Off-Broadway in The Atheist, and his film credits include "Smokin' Aces" and "Princess Diaries II." Vangsness' many L.A. stage credits include Mulholland Christmas Carol, Bright Room Called Day, Vangsness/McQueen and Book of Liz. Bonney's many Off-Broadway directorial credits include Some Girls, All That I Will Ever Be, subUrbia, On the Mountain, A Soldier's Play and The Seven.

LaBute's plays include bash: latter-day plays, The Shape of Things, The Distance From Here, The Mercy Seat, Autobahn, This Is How It Goes, Some Girls and Wrecks. He is the writer-director of the films "In the Company of Men," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "Nurse Betty," "Possession," "The Shape of Things" and "Wicker Man."

The Geffen Playhouse is located at 10886 Le Conte Avenue in Los Angeles.
