News Scottsboro Boys Tony Nominee Is Man of Mystery in "Fear The Walking Dead" Stage and screen star Colman Domingo, a Tony nominee for his performance in the 2010 Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys, has landed a recurring role on the new AMC series "Fear The Walking Dead," according to Deadline.com.

Domingo has been cast in the role of Strand, described as "a smart and sophisticated man with a mysterious past."

A companion to "The Walking Dead," the new series has a two-season pickup. The cast also includes Mercedes Mason, Ruben Blades, Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.

Domingo, who is currently filming "The Birth of a Nation," has also been seen on screen in "Selma," "The Butler" and "Lincoln."
