News Scoundrels' Gleason to Host WABC's "Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview" Joanna Gleason, the Tony-winning actress currently on the boards in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, will host a half-hour television special celebrating the fall Broadway season.

Entitled "Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview," the 30-minute program — co-hosted by WABC's Steve Bartelstein — will air in the metropolitan area Oct. 22 on WABC Channel 7 from 7:30-8 PM ET. The program will feature A Naked Girl on the Appian Way's Jill Clayburgh, the cast of the new musical Jersey Boys and footage from Latinologues and Absurd Person Singular. The broadcast will also include an inside look at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, including the recent Flea Market and Auction in Shubert Alley.

Joanna Gleason is currently starring as Muriel in the hit musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Imperial Theatre. She received a Tony nomination for that performance, and she won the Tony for her work as the Baker's Wife in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Gleason's other Broadway credits include I Love My Wife, The Real Thing, Joe Egg (Tony nomination), Social Security and Nick & Nora.
