Second Stage Theater will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a Birthday Gala May 6. The evening, to be held at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom, will honor 40 actors who have appeared in at least two 2ST productions since its founding.
Among the evening's many honorees will be Tony winners Lindsay Mendez and Cynthia Nixon, Oscar nominee Annette Bening, and Charlayne Woodard (currently Off-Broadway in the world premiere of "Daddy").
Other honorees include Brooke Adams, Kevin Bacon, David Aaron Baker, David Wilson Barnes, Derrick Baskin, Emily Bergl, Reed Birney, Stephanie J. Block, Tracee Chimo, Liza Colón-Zayas, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Frankie R. Faison, Halley Feiffer, Daniel Gerroll, John Glover, Daniel Eric Gold, Tony Goldwyn, Robyn Goodman, Ari Graynor, Judith Ivey, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Brian Kerwin, Christine Lahti, Kristolyn Lloyd, Marsha Mason, James McDaniel, Kathy Najimy, Manu Narayan, Rory O’Malley, Kellie Overbey, Annie Parisse, Susan Pourfar, Katharine Powell, Maria Elena Ramirez, Armando Riesco, Thomas Sadoski, Sherie Rene Scott, Thom Sesma, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Julie White, and Betsy Wolfe.
The evening will include performances and will be co-chaired by Second Stage Theater’s Board of Trustees. All funds raised will benefit 2ST’s artistic programs.
