News   Second Term: RFK Solo Extends Off-Broadway Through February
Playwright-performer Jack Holmes' play, RFK, centering on the titular politico and his rise to the Senate and beyond, has announced a three-week extension at Off Broadway's The Culture Project through Feb. 26, 2006.

Larry Moss (Syringa Tree) directs the drama presented by The Culture Project by special arrangement with Winship Cook and Arleen Sorkin at the downtown venue. The show began performances Nov. 5 and opened Nov. 15 for a run originally slated to end Feb. 5.

Holmes (In the Boom Boom Room, "Broken Rose") stars as the title character in his work about Senator Robert Francis Kennedy and his life in the years following his brother's assassination. Previously titled The Awful Grace of God: A Portrait of Robert F. Kennedy, the work seen last season in Los Angeles now goes simply by RFK.

The design team for RFK features Neil Patel (sets) and David Weiner (lights).

Actor Holmes has previously trod the New York boards in The Pot of Gold, John Gabriel Borkman and Roman Candles. Other credits include The Time of Your Life, The Zoo Story and In the Boom Boom Room. This, his first full length work, played both in Sierra Madre and in Los Angeles at the Court Theatre.

Director Moss directed and developed Pamela Gien's Obie Award-winning Best Play of 2001, The Syringa Tree. Other credits include Runt of the Litter, Who Is Floyd Stearn, Beast on the Moon, the short film "Dos Corazones" and the upcoming film "The Lily Field" by Pamela Gien. He also penned "The Intent To Live," a book on acting, released by Bantam Dell in 2004. Tickets to RFK are available by calling (212) 307-4100 or at The Culture Project box office at 45 Bleecker St. For more information, visit the website at
