The film played the festival circuit this past summer, screening at Los Angeles Film Festival, Frameline, and Outfest. Its commercial release to select theatres will be accompanied by a release for home streaming, both on February 9.

Becks is the first leading role in a feature film for Lena Hall, whose Broadway credits also include Kinky Boots, Tarzan, Dracula, 42nd Street, and Cats. Hall recently announced that she will release an EP of songs monthly throughout 2018, the first installment of which featured songs from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
