News See What I Wanna See CD — with Menzel, Kudisch and Testa — Hits Stores March 7 The original cast recording of See What I Wanna See, which recently played an acclaimed run at the Public Theater, hits stores on the Ghostlight Records label March 7.

The new musical with a score by Michael John LaChiusa boasts a cast that includes Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, Marc Kudisch, Mary Testa, Aaron Lohr and Henry Stram. See What I Wanna See, which was directed by Ted Sperling with musical staging by Jonathan Butterell, features orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and musical direction by Chris Fenwick. The CD is produced by Joel Moss and director Sperling and executive produced by Kurt Deutsch, the president of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records.

See What I Wanna See, according to press notes, "moves from a mysterious murder in Central Park to the miracle of a devastated city's rebirth, chronicling New York stories of faith, loss and redemption. With a contemporary, lush score, this musical takes inspirations from the stories of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, as translated by Takashi Kojima."
