News Seldes and Rashad Set for "Selected Shorts" at Symphony Space Tony winners Marian Seldes and Phylicia Rashad will read from the works of Homer, Dante and Virgil as part of "Selected Shorts" at Symphony Space on March 4.

Seldes (Deuce, Dinner at Eight) will perform an excerpt from Virgil's "Aeneid," with Rashad (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Raisin in the Sun) performing an excerpt from Dante's "Inferno." An additional actor will be named to perform from Homer's "The Iliad."

"Selected Shorts" is the one-hour radio program from NPR, which features readings of classic and new short fiction by notable actors from stage and screen.

Isaiah Sheffer hosts the award-winning radio program that will be presented live at Symphony Space at 7 PM on March 4.
