Seligson to Depart L.A.'s Reprise! Series | Playbill

News Seligson to Depart L.A.'s Reprise! Series
Marcia Seligson, the producing artistic director of Reprise! Broadway’s Best series, is leaving the organization she helped found.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Seligson said that her departure from the organization — which presents rarely revived, classic Broadway musicals for limited engagements — is "very friendly and amicable." Although she would not elaborate, Seligson told the Los Angeles paper that she is currently at work on a new theatrical project. Jim Gardia, managing director of Reprise!, will assume Seligson's duties for the remainder of the season. No decision has been made about a search for a permanent producing artistic director.

Earlier this season Reprise! represented the classic Leonard Bernstein Adolph Green-Betty Comden musical On the Town. The season will continue with City of Angels (Jan. 24-Feb. 5, 2006) and Zorba (May 2-14, 2006).
