Khachatryan has gotten rave reviews this month for performances with the Baltimore Symphony and on tour with the London Philharmonic.
Violetta, a single-disc version of Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villaz‹n's recording of La traviata, dropped from number one to number six. Andr_ Rieu's The Flying Dutchman remained at number two, and his Tuscany rose from number eight to number three in its 77th week on the chart.
Also new to the chart was a recording of Shostakovich and Prokofiev concertos by violinist Sarah Chang at number 18.
Andrea Bocelli's Amore remained at number one on the classical-crossover chart, with Il Divo's Ancora at number two. Bocelli's Amor, a Spanish-language verson of Amore, jumped from number 24 to number three, bumping Il Divo's self-titled debut to number four.
The only new entry on the chart was a compilation titled Original Irish Tenors, at number 21.
